Anthocyrtium

Anthocyrtium is a type of Radiolaria, an aquatic protozoan life form that forms a fantastically intricate silica-containing shell. The sea floor is partially composed of its microscopic fossilized skeletons. These delightful organisms remind me of tiny little Chinese lanterns.

The Anthocyrtium pendant, shown here in bronze, is also available in silver and other materials and can be purchased at my Shapeways shop or at my Etsy shop (click on image for link).
